A downloadable game for Windows

*This is an unofficial English release of the free Japanese visual novel "Ningen ni Naranai" translated by me, and uploaded with the original creator's permission.*

A (self-proclaimed) heartwarming visual novel about spending the days with your dog.
Mugi-chan was abandoned at the shrine; now it's time to take him home!

But beware: your guys' mental health is already in shambles!
Let your guard down, and you break!
Every day, you have 6 options! Talk, eat, bathe, clean, shop, sleep...
Live the days like a human! This world might be a dump, but let's make it out alive!

Warning
This game contains mature themes including, but not limited to, the following:
- Violent imagery and depictions, including abuse
- Allusions to suicide
- Displays of violence towards animals, as well as animal death
This game is a work of fiction, and is not made to endorse any of the above.

* The above-mentioned points are not the main focus of the game, and as such are light in their inclusions. The depictions and descriptions are also kept fairly mild.

Characters from a previous work, "Karera no Himitsu no Takarabako", make an appearance in one part of the game.
No major spoilers from that work are included, and a brief character explanation is also provided, so this game can still be played on its own.

Great game (to the creator, I wish I could say directly to them), and I think you nailed the translation, and I guess, captured the writing flavor the creator had in mind, despite some small flaws, as well. Do you have any plans for their other games to be translated?

Thanks for the comment and the video! I really believed in the story and wanted to do the translation justice, so I worked on it while asking questions to the creator about plot and whatnot to make sure I wasn't interpreting something wrong. I'm glad to see that it paid off! For the moment, I'm working on another game translation by another creator for Steam release, but I'm definitely open to looking at this creator's other works in the future, and I've let them know that, too! I'm also gonna go back and edit my profile to list any other games I've translated and will keep on updating it as they come out (a lot of them probably won't be released on itch.io), so you can always keep an eye there just in case so you don't miss anything!

Upon checking your update page, oh yeah, I remember your name somewhere else. It's odd that I remember seeing your name somewhere before and not remember it, and I finally remember you translated HELLO, HELLO WORLD as well (which I also playthroughed on my channel a while ago.)

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting you to have checked out another translated game of mine! That one was the first game I translated, and as such, I imagine it has way more flaws than this one lol. But the same creator is coming out with a kind of sequel for that game which I'm also doing the translation for, and the Steam link for that is also on my profile!
